Botox

Botox is a neuromodulator used to temporarily relax facial muscles, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles produced by facial expressions.

Its benefits include:

  • Reduction of wrinkles and expression lines
  • Improvement of facial symmetry
  • Non-surgical with minimal downtime

The Botox procedure is quick, typically lasting 15-30 minutes. A topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort. The doctor will then inject small amounts of Botox into target muscles using a fine needle.

Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site may occur, usually subsiding within a few days.

The effects of Botox typically last 3-4 months. As muscle activity gradually resumes, wrinkles may reappear. Maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain the results.
